The Law Of Attraction or The Secret is attracting tremendous attention in the Media now as the popularity of the movie The Secret is sweeping across the World. The Teachers of The Secret, like Bob Proctor, Mike Beckwith, Jack Canfield are also in the limelight for passing on the Truth about the Universe.
Since time immemorial, the Ancient Chinese, the Egyptians, the Greeks and the Romans have all been aware of these powerful, unseen forces that are shaping our World. Each race or religion has their own interpretation of how The Universe works. The Ancient Chinese called it by various names: The Tao, The Way, The Flow. In the Western world, one uses names like God, the Higher Being, the Almighty, the Infinite Intelligence, The Creator etc. But whatever we call it, spiritual or metaphysical, The Universe operates according to certain fixed Laws, of which The Law of Attraction is but one out of Eight Natural Laws. I am going to introduce these Laws briefly in this first article.
First, there is The Law of Perpetual Transmutation. At its core, everything can be described as a form of Energy. And Energy has a tendency to transform itself into various forms. It tends to move into a Physical Form. Hence, the images that one holds in his Mind most often materialize in the results in their life. Thoughts become things.
Secondly, there is The Law of Relativity. Without delving into Einstein's Quantum Physics, one can put this in layman's terms as follows: Nothing is good or bad, big or small, until your relate it to something comparable. Be grateful with what you have already got and show gratitude. It is good to relate your present reality with something less comparable and your reality will always seem more optimistic.
Thirdly, there is The Law of Vibration. This is a sub-law of The Law of Attraction. Everything vibrates at its resonant frequency and nothing rests. Conscious awareness of vibrations or vibes is called feeling or emotion. Your dominant thoughts control your paradigms and your vibration. When you are feeling down and out, become aware of your focus and what you are thinking and try to think of something pleasant...your dominant thoughts about hope and peace can ease your pain.
Fourthly, there is The Law of Polarity. This is a result of the Law of Relativity. Everything has an opposite: Hot-Cold...Good-Bad....Down-Up. In the East, we represent these by the Yin and Yang Forces....seeking for balance and harmony in the masculine and feminine energy. It pays to always look out for the good in people and situations. When you find some good in people, pay your compliments and the positive idea in your mind will reverberate...Good ideas breed good vibes.
Fifthly, there is The Law of Rhythm. There is a perpetual cycle in Life. Night follows day, Spring follows Winter, the Tides Rise and Fall. Life is in a perpetual cyclical motion. When you're in the Winter of your moods, a down swing, do not feel bad about it...Know that the swing will change soon and things will improve - think and focus on the good.
Sixthly, there is The Law of Cause and Effect. Whatever you broadcast into The Universe, comes back like a boomerang. Action and reaction are equal and opposite. Treat everyone with equal respect according to how you would like to be treated. Focus on what you can give out first before you get.
Seventh, there is the Law of Gender or the Law of Gestation. Every seed has an incubation period. Ideas are spiritual seeds and will move into form or physical results. Your goals and aspirations will manifest when the time is ripe and if you continue to put action to push your performance towards your goals. Know for sure that this will happen.
Finally, the Law of Attraction works in synchronism with all the other seven Laws to make this Universe function.
